Our speaker, Dr. Mike Strauss is a David Ross Boyd Professor of Physics at the University of Oklahoma. He conducts research in high-energy particle physics, currently with data from the ATLAS detector at CERN laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland where he studies the fundamental
particles and forces that make up the universe. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in physical science from Biola University and his Ph.D. in experimental elementary particle
physics from the University of California in Los Angeles. His previous research was done at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center and the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
Dr. Strauss has spoken about the intersection of science and Christianity at universities, schools and churches throughout the world. He has the ability to explain complex topics in language that is simple and easily understandable, and to offer life applications based on scientific and biblical ideas. He is the author of The Creator Revealed: A Physicist Examines the Big Bang and the Bible, and one of the general editors of the Dictionary of Christianity and Science, published by Zondervan.

Mike Strauss este profesor de fizică la Universitatea din Oklahoma. Face cercetări în domeniul fizicii particulelor cu energie înaltă folosind date obținute de la detectorul ATLAS al Organizației Europene pentru Cercetare Nucleară (CERN) din Geneva. Profesorul Mike Strauss studiază particulele și forțele fundamentale care stau la baza existenței Universului.
A obținut licența în domeniul științei de la Universitatea Biola, iar doctoratul în fizica particulelor elementare l-a obținut în cadrul Universității California din Los Angeles.
Mike Strauss a vorbit despre intersecția dintre știință și creștinism în universități, școli și biserici din toata lumea. Are abilitatea de a explica subiecte complexe într-un limbaj ușor de înțeles și de a oferi aplicații practice bazate pe idei științifice și biblice.
